Happy Mother's Day

Hello! It has been a while, to say the least, but no need to panic! We are all alive and well. Our family has been busy and I am sure most of you are as well, so our blog has been on the back burner for a while. I had a sudden urge to upload some pics of our recent trip to Mesquite, NV. Shon had a business trip to Las Vegas and the girls and I decided to travel down at the end of the week to meet up with him. Shon's sister Karli came into town to visit (her in-laws are from Mesquite) so it happened to be a good time to catch up with her and their family. Shon's parents decided since we were all going to be in town together then they should come as well. It was a fun little weekend get away. The weather was warm but not too warm just yet. Our favorite part of our getaway was lounging at the Casablanca pool. Thanks to my friend Marni, who visited Mesquite just a few weeks prior, she suggested that we go to the pool if we had the chance. It was very relaxing and the girls really enjoyed themselves. Avery is so much like her mom, cautious and careful and Taylor is just like her dad, daring and crazy! When it comes to the water, or anything else for that matter, Taylor has NO FEAR. That in a nutshell makes me nervous but between 4 adults we were able to keep track of them which was a relief. Saturday afternoon they played music at the pool and the girls danced and had a great time. Shon and the girls gave me a new camera (the old one was terrible) for Mothers day so I am excited to share a few pics of our fabulous weekend getaway.
