Avery's 2nd Birthday

Yes it is true... we officially have a 2 year old in the house. We have been experiencing the
"exciting two's" for the past 6 months but now it really is true. Avery had such a great birthday. Thursday morning, the day of her little party, my parents grandma & grandpa Critchfield showed up at our door. We had no idea that they were coming. They decided to drive out and surprise us since. It was so much fun to have them come and visit. Avery was super excited. That night we went to Chuck E. Cheese with 3 of her little friends. They were all so cute. It was fun to see them all play and have a great time. She loved unwrapping the gifts and got excited about everything she opened. Her friends know her so well... two of them got her the same little stroller to push her baby in. We also got her one!! She is completely into her babies right now and was so excited when her friend Avery gave her a new cabbage patch doll. It is the cutest little thing! Thanks so much to all of her friends for coming to her party and thinking of her.

The next morning, on her actual birthday, we let her open a few more presents. She opened a cute photo album from gran & gramp Fisher! (BTW..She loves looking at all the pics and we loved the little note you sent with it. We took pictures of it so everyone could see your artistic abilities!!) Then we gave her the big present. We took her outside where she found a cute purple and pink trike. She was so excited. She ran out on the deck and couldn't wait to ride it. Every time we go shopping and we walk by the toy section she says "BIKE, BIKE." We figured it was time for her to get her own. I am a little tired of it right now because all she wants me to do is push her in it. I want her to learn to ride it on her own, but she isn't that interested. It was great because grandpa was free and willing to take her outside and push her around. Thanks grandpa! We loved seeing her get so excited about her new little bike. There were a few moments when I got a little emotional because I couldn't believe I actually have a two year old. Where has the time gone? She is such a cute little girl. She can get into mischiff if I am not watching, but that is one of the things I love about her. She is my sweet little girl and always will be. Happy 2nd birthday Avery. Mommy and Daddy love you :)
